(MENAFN) Cargo train services have been launched between Yichang in central China's Hubei Province, and Hamburg, Germany.

According to Zhou Chigang from the Wuhan branch of the National Railway Administration, the trail will travel through the provincial capital of Wuhan, and to Hamburg through Russia, Belarus and Poland
He said the trip will take about 17 days, half of the time needed for shipping services, with only a quarter of the air freight's cost.
