Alabama Senate race to be certified later than expected
(MENAFN) A statement was released by a state election official on Friday saying that December 12 special Senate election of Alabama most probably won't be certified until late December at best.
The outcome of the election is to be certified by December 26 at the earliest; therefore it is doubtful for the main year-end GOP legislation to be influenced, as reported by Reuters.
Even though Congressional Republicans and President Trump wished to pass tax reform by the end of the year, GOP are only able to manage a couple of Republican defections in case they want to pass such a process, as the GOP owns a small majority in the Senate.
