Russia and Egypt hold common goals to combat terrorism, says Sergey Lavrov
MOSCOW, 21st August, 2017 (WAM) -- Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, has said during a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in Moscow, that the two countries' goals are common to combating and eradicating terrorism, and that they both seek to restore stability in the region.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed issues of mutual concern, bilateral relations, and ways to strengthen them in the interests of the two countries, as well as Middle East developments.
Lavrov praised the role played by Cairo and its position in regional issues, including the Syrian and Libyan crises, as well as the situation in Iraq and Yemen.
