What you see on TV is how I am for real: Scott Disick

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Apparently Scott Disick is more than just a random guy. So we are told. The reality star was in Dubai on Friday to help open the Sugar Factory in Festival City where crowds of fans came out in the hopes of getting a photo with him.

But who is Scott Disick? Really, why were there legions of fans screaming out his name? Other than dragging himself on the tail coats of Kardashian fame, his credits of achievement include being involved on and off with Kourtney Kardashian for the whole of the series of Keeping up with the Kardashians (that's like 5,000 seasons I think), sharing three kids together (rumours are currently circulating that there is a fourth one on the way) and being a professional party guy. That basically means making appearances at clubs and hosting parties, popping champagne bottles with sparklers and all that amazingly tacky stuff that makes for good trash television and reminds us about the worst facets of society. So fun.

If that's not enough to make you fall in love with Scott he also claims to have become authentic British royalty through a ceremony he held to give himself the title of "Lord of the Manor of Cruckton Ford." (the whole bit was filmed for season 7 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians) so, if Instagram usernames are any indication of status and identity (his insta name is Lethelordbewithyou) you should refer to Scott Disick as Lord, and hope that he will always be with you. Life is so annoying sometimes.
In any case, we the pop culture obsessed had to make time to have a chat with the "Lord" himself to try and figure out if he is any different to the "character" we see on TV. Turns out he isn't.

What are your thoughts on Dubai?
I've heard a lot about Dubai and this is my first trip, and of course I can't wait to check out the tallest building in the world. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all of the sights, and enjoying the Arabian hospitality.

Why are you excited about the Sugar Factory brand opening in Dubai?
Sugar Factory has been our 'go to' restaurant for many years now and the kids love celebrating their birthdays there. It's a big hot spot in the US so I'm happy that the people of Dubai get to enjoy the Sugar Factory experience now.

Most people find you very relatable as the comic relief on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. How much of that would you say is part of your real life persona?
I'm a very honest and straightforward guy. I'm not an actor. What you see on TV is mostly how I am in real life. There isn't much that's hidden, all the tears, laughs, and treasured moments are real.

How do you deal with the constant pressure from the paparazzi? How do you keep some things private or is it still something you're figuring out?
Sometimes it gets difficult to do normal day-to-day things but you deal with it. Off the camera, in the confines of your home, you make the most of your private moments with your family and kids. At the end of the day, you just have to live your life and know it comes with the territory.
