Japan's greenhouse gas emissions drop by 3.0pct

(MENAFN) Japan's greenhouse gas emissions declined by 3.0 percent in financial year 2015 from a year earlier, dropping for the second straight year.

Accordingly, the decline was due to more reduction in power consumption at houses, offices and commercial facilities.

Furthermore, the country's gas emissions in 2015 were 5.2 percent below fiscal 2005 levels, meaning Japan has already met its goal of 3.8 percent cut by fiscal 2020.
