Nigeria, Morocco in talks to extend gas pipeline project

(MENAFN) Nigeria and Morocco are in talks for a huge project to extend a West African gas pipeline to stretch up toward Europe.

Accordingly, the pipeline would go along the coast from West Africa; Nigeria, all the way up to Morocco and into Europe eventually.

Additionally, the work would see the pipeline extended toward Morocco, passing through Dakar, while Algeria made talks with Nigeria in 2002 for similar pipeline crossing the Sahel region.

Main oil exporter Nigeria also has huge untapped gas resources, the largest proven reserves in Africa and the seventh largest internationally.
