Gable Holdings PLC (LON:GAH) down 5% to 2.25p. The European non-lifeinsurancecompany has appointed William Dewsall as interim executive chairman following the resignation of Jost Pilgrim.

Comptoir Group plc (LON:COM) down 4% to 76.5p. Lebanese restaurant group shares ease lower despite rises in earnings and sales.

RISERS Xcite Energy PLC (LONL XEL) up 9% to 7.5p. Hurricane Energy's well update today sparks all North Sea independent oil and gas explorers into life.

Independent Oil & Gas PLC (LON:IOG) up 9% to 28.6p Another North Sea winner today as the whole sector is re-rated upwards.

JD Wetherspoon PLC (LON:JDW) up 4% to 962p. Interim results were as expected and from FTSE 250 pub chain was reasonably upbeat about the rest of the year.

FALLERS Metals Exploration Plc (LON:MTL) down 13% to 6p. Philippines-based gold miner is lower after funding yesterday that raised US$6.4mln to tide it over until revenues start later this month.

Vela Technologies PLC (LON:VELA) down 8% to 0.16p. The tech company investor raises £400,000 through the issue of convertible unsecured loan notes to certain shareholders.

Tower Resources PLC (LON:TRP) down 8 & to 2.65p. Oil explorer dips again on heavily discounted fund raising yesterday to raise £560,000 for exploration in Cameroon.

Hurricane Energy PLC (LON:HUR), up 40% to 34.3p. The firm released better than expected results for its first new well at the Lancaster Field in the North Sea today.

IPPlus PLC (LON:IPP), up 32% to 20.15p. Told investors it was selling off its IPPlus (UK) Limited and Callscripter Limited businesses for a total sum of £6.7mln, and would offer shareholders a special dividend of £1mln once the disposal is completed.

Nighthawk Energy PLC (LON:HAWK), up 12% to 0.9p. Said in an update this morning that production remains strong and that it was close to settling recent litigation with Running Foxes Petroleum.

FALLERS

Botswana Diamonds PLC (LON:BOD), down 20% to 1.59p. Released an exploration update for its joint venture with Alrosa in Botswana where it said drilling on pipe AK21 'produced inconclusive results'.

Minoan Group plc (LON:MIN), down 16% to 7.25p. The Aegean-focused travel group said it was losing £100,000 per month after being hit by a weak pound and a downturn in travel to Turkey.

Richoux Group plc (LON:RIC), down 9% to 20.6p. Reported its interims on Friday and posted a loss after tax of £0.58mln after turning a slight profit last year.
