Oman bags silver at GCC U16 Volleyball Championship
Oman boys claimed a silver medal at the GCC U16 Volleyball Championship that concluded in Manama, Bahrain on Tuesday.
Oman defeated Saudi Arabia and Qatar twice, but lost to eventual winner and hosts Bahrain two times in the double-leg round-robin format. The team was accompanied by Jamal al Mamari as coach and Issa al Balushi as manager. Oman Volleyball Association chairman
Badr al Rowas congratulated the players and the coaching staff on their success. The men's team had also recently bagged a bronze at a GCC meet in Saudi Arabia.
