Blasts outside police HQ, academy in Chad capital: witnesses

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Several blasts went off on Monday outside the police headquarters and academy in the capital of Chad, whose forces have been instrumental in fighting Boko Haram militants in neighbouring Nigeria, witnesses said.

The government convened an emergency meeting following the explosions, an official said on condition of anonymity. No official casualty toll was immediately available, with witnesses reporting at least several people wounded.
