(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) An Omani national who was driving in the wrong direction on the Muscat Expressway was killed when his car collided with a sewage tanker in the early hours of Monday.
A senior official from the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) said that the accident took place at around 1am near the Muscat International Airport flyover.
''The sewage tanker was in the right lane, heading to Batinah from Qurm. Its driver could not avoid the collision as the distance with the oncoming car was too little,'' the official said. The car driver was killed while the tanker driver managed to escape unhurt.
''The car driver was in the wrong direction and hit the tanker,'' PACDA's Twitter account said.<
