(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Ooredoo yesterday announced that it will offer special discounts and tailor-made value packages to university and college students in Qatar on a range of products, including iPhone 5c, and the popular 4G My-Fi hotspot device.
The discount scheme has been designed to aid students with their studies, by connecting them to the Internet and offering life-enriching technology as part of the company's #OoredooSmart campaign
The first three offers for students will be available on Ooredoo's eShop and in the Qatar Foundation and Lagoona Mall shops this month
These offers will include 4G My-Fi personal hotspot device for QR499, saving QR130 on the usual price of QR629, iPhone 5c (16GB) for QR1,799 saving QR200 on the usual price of QR1,999, and iPhone 5C (32GB) for QR2,199, saving QR200 on the usual price of QR2,399. All deals will include a free 1GB mobile data card
The new deals and improved price rates are available to all students in higher educational institutions in Qatar, including universities and colleges
To qualify for discount, students need to take their valid university or college ID card to participating Ooredoo Shops. Customers who purchase the deals through Ooredoo eShop must present their student ID to the Ooredoo representative at the time of delivery.

The 4G My-Fi hotspot device will automatically boost Ooredoo's 4G signal indoors, allowing up to 10 people to connect to Qatar's fastest 4G network at one time
iPhone 5c, which has a high spec A6 chip, 8MP iSight camera and 4-inch Retina display, can also connect to Ooredoo's free 4G key, giving students access to Internet speeds up to six times faster than the 3G network
