(MENAFN - #Qatar News Agency) A senior Yemeni security official was assassinated and another officer was injured when unknown militants fired at them in the central province Bayda, central #Yemen on Sunday.



An official security source said in a press release issued today that the militants shot dead instantly Col.Sadeq Al Haddad, the Director Of Ash-Shariya Security Directorate while touring a city marke



The source said an officer workig at the criminal investigations department called Nasr Al-Radei, was seriously injured in the attac




The security organs have immediately started investigations to reveal the clues of the attack and indentify the culprits pending to their arrest and putting to trial



The central province Bayda has witnessed similar assassination attempts in the past period and which were carried out by militatns belonging to Al Qaeda Organisatio
