Iraq's coach In talks with oman

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Iraq coach Hakeem al Azzawi revealed on Sunday that he is in talks with Oman Football Association (OFA) regarding a potential role in the sultanate's junior football side.

Speaking to the media after his team's win, he first thanked his players for giving him his first trophy in two years.

He then added, ''I am in talks with the OFA and we will carry on with the discussions after the tournament. I would love to play a role in Oman's junior team. Let us see how things work out.''

After Oman exited from the tournament prematurely, there was speculation that coach Philippe Burle's contract would not be renewed and that Azzawi might replace him.
