War Update: 213 Combat Clashes, Two Frontline Sectors Remain Hottest

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the information was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational update as of 22:00.

“Since the beginning of the day, a total of 213 combat engagements have taken place. The enemy launched two missile strikes using three missiles, carried out 55 air strikes, dropping 176 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 6,460 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,305 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troop positions,” the statement said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one combat engagement was recorded. Russian forces carried out 43 attacks on settlements and Ukrainian positions, including one using multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched seven assaults near Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and toward Ternova and Volokhivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted three attacks toward Kupiansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 attempts by Russian troops to advance near Novoselivka and toward Drobysheve, Dibrova, Lyman, and Ozerne. Two engagements were still ongoing as of the evening update.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled 12 Russian assaults toward Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka, as well as in the areas of Riznykivka, Zakitne, and Lypivka. Three engagements remained underway.

In the Kramatorsk sector, no Russian offensive actions were reported.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assaults near Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Kostiantynivka, and Rusyn Yar.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces launched 38 attacks near Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne, as well as toward Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Myrne, Novopavlivka, Novopidhorodnie, and Dorozhnie.

According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces eliminated 48 Russian soldiers and wounded 24 others in this sector alone. They also destroyed: one artillery system, two vehicles, seven pieces of specialized equipment, and one fuel and lubricants depot. In addition, Ukrainian forces damaged: three vehicles, four pieces of specialized equipment, one artillery system, 111 personnel shelters, and one enemy drone command post. A total of 286 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Sichneve, Vorone, and toward Verbove.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces carried out 32 attacks near Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Zaliznychne, and toward Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, and Charivne. Three combat engagements were still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched two assaults near Shcherbaky and Plavni.

In the Dnipro River sector, no offensive actions by Russian forces were recorded.

The General Staff reported no significant changes in the operational situation in other sectors of the front.

According to Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,374,950 personnel as of June 8, 2026.
