Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, received a phone call from HE Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday, June 8, 2026.

During the call, efforts at mediation between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran were reviewed, along with the latest developments in Lebanon.

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, during the call, the State of Qatar's support for all endeavors aimed at containing escalation and reaching a comprehensive agreement that contributes to consolidating security and stability, and achieves lasting peace in the region.
