Department Of Meteorology Warns Of Strong Winds

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Department of Meteorology has warned of expected strong wind at places daytime in inshore areas, along with strong wind and high sea offshore on Sunday.

In its daily weather report, the Department said inshore conditions until 6:00 pm will be hot daytime and slightly dusty to dusty at places, and moderate by night. Offshore conditions will be slightly dusty at times.

Winds inshore will be northwesterly at 13-23 KT, gusting to 33 KT daytime, decreasing to 05- 15 KT by night. Offshore, winds will be northwesterly at 12-22 KT, gusting to 32 KT at times, decreasing to 07- 17 KT later.

Sea conditions inshore will range from 3-5 FT, falling to 1 -3 FT later, while offshore seas are expected to be 4-8/ 10 FT, falling to 2-4 FT later.

Visibility inshore will range from 4 to 9 KM /3 KM or less at places daytime. Offshore visibility is expected to range between 5 and 9 km.
