WHO Raises Ebola Risk In DR Congo To Very High
Geneva: The World Health Organization raised the Ebola outbreak risk in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to "very high" nationally amid the rapid spread of the virus.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said around 750 suspected cases and 177 suspected deaths have been recorded, including 82 confirmed cases and seven confirmed deaths.
He warned that violence and insecurity are hindering response efforts, while regional risk remains high and global risk low.
