Qatar Condemns Israeli National Security Minister's Storming Of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli National Security Minister, along with the provocative practices and violations committed by settlers under the protection of occupation forces, including restricting worshippers' access to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said that it considered this a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, an unacceptable provocation to the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world, and a dangerous attempt to impose a new fait accompli in occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and that all unilateral measures aimed at changing the existing historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its holy sites are null and void under international law.

The Ministry further warned that the continuation of these repeated violations and provocations will fuel cycles of violence and escalation in the region, undermine opportunities for de-escalation and stability, and renewed its call on the international community to take urgent action to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to halt its ongoing violations against the Palestinian people and their holy sites, and to comply with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm and supportive stance toward the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, based on ending the occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
