'Eight Months Of Losses': Landi Kotal Transporters Seek Government Action On Stranded Vehicles
They said the situation has pushed thousands of families associated with the transport business towards severe financial hardship, while the vehicles are also being badly affected.
Speaking on the occasion, Rehman Zeb said that if keeping their vehicles stranded in Afghanistan serves Pakistan's national interest, they are willing to endure the situation further, provided the government compensates them appropriately and covers their losses.
The transporters urged the provincial and federal governments to take immediate steps to resolve their problems and ensure the safe return of their vehicles.

They warned that otherwise they would block the repatriation process of Afghan refugees on the Pak-Afghan highway and would not allow any vehicle to cross the border until their stranded vehicles are brought back from Afghanistan.
Rehman Zeb further said that political and social figures, along with local residents, would support their protest, adding that only ambulances would be allowed to pass through the highway during the blockade.
