UDC Launches Women's Padel Tournament For Residents Of The Pearl And Gewan Islands

Doha: Following the strong success of its inaugural edition, United Development Company (UDC), master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, is preparing to launch the second edition of its Women's Padel Tournament 2026.

The initiative is exclusively open to residents of the two islands, reinforcing UDC's ongoing commitment to promoting an active, inclusive, and community-focused lifestyle across its developments.

The tournament will kick off on May 10, with the semi-finals taking place on May 12 and the finals on May 14. Matches will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the padel courts in Fanar Fayrouz – Temba Arena. A total of eight teams is expected to participate, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere of friendly competition and social connection.

Commenting on the initiative, Eng. Abdullatif Ali Al-Yafei, UDC's Executive Director of Public Services said:“Women represent a vital and dynamic part of our community, and we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities that support their engagement, wellbeing, and active participation.
