Nitin Gadkari Reviews Key Highway Corridor Projects In Maharashtra
During the review meeting, the Minister assessed multiple strategic projects, including six-laning of the Nagpur–Bhandara and Pune–Satara stretches, as well as four-laning works on the Taloda–Burhanpur section.
Key inter-state and economic corridors such as Durg–Gadchiroli–Mancherial, Nagpur–Hyderabad, Gwalior–Nagpur, and Gadchiroli–Kanker (Raipur–Visakhapatnam) were also discussed, alongside upgrades to the Bhandara–Raipur and Nagpur–Amravati routes.
The meeting further reviewed progress on nine Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects covering approximately 527 km across national highway stretches in the state.
These include key corridors such as Shirur–Ahilyanagar, Ahilyanagar–Wadala, Wadala–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna–Watur, and Warora–Chandrapur–Bamni, among others.
The discussions focused on streamlining project planning, enhancing execution timelines, and ensuring efficient implementation.
The proposed upgrades are aimed at strengthening transport infrastructure, improving freight and passenger movement, and supporting economic activity across key industrial and agricultural regions of Maharashtra.
