Anwen's research interests include nationalism, secession and constitutional change in Europe. She has led research projects examining the role of regionalist and secessionist parties in achieving political, economic and social justice (Horizon2020 funded project), the everyday politics of secession (funded by ESRC) and citizen engagement in debates about constitutional change.
