Al-Sisi Urges Intensified Diplomacy To Contain Regional Escalation

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has called for stepped-up diplomatic engagement with friendly nations to address regional crises through negotiation and peaceful means, amid mounting tensions.

In a statement, the Egyptian presidency said Al-Sisi met on Monday with Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to review regional and international developments, as well as Egypt's ongoing diplomatic efforts to support stability.

Al-Sisi underscored the importance of sustaining efforts to prevent further escalation and resolve conflicts through dialogue, in a way that reinforces both regional and global security.

He also reaffirmed Egypt's firm rejection of attacks on Arab states, highlighting Cairo's longstanding commitment to safeguarding regional stability and upholding national sovereignty.

During the meeting, Abdelatty outlined the foreign ministry's initiatives to support Egyptians abroad, including efforts to enhance consular services through digital transformation and newly launched programmes in coordination with other state institutions.

These efforts aim to improve the speed and efficiency of services provided to Egyptian expatriates and better respond to their needs.

Al-Sisi directed officials to ensure the highest standards of care for Egyptians living overseas and to strengthen communication channels with diaspora communities worldwide.

The directives form part of Egypt's broader strategy to reinforce its regional diplomatic role while improving public service delivery for citizens both at home and abroad.
