Bulgaria Election Body Announces Interim Results in Parliamentary Vote

(MENAFN) Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission has released preliminary results from Sunday’s parliamentary elections, with 87.2% of ballots counted as of 9:50 a.m. local time, according to reports.

The results show Progressive Bulgaria in the lead with 44.6% of the vote. It is followed by the coalition Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria with 13.5%, while GERB–SDS stands close behind at 13.3%.

Other parties include the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, which has secured around 6.1%, and Vazrazhdane with 4.4%, according to the interim tally.

Under electoral regulations, the Central Election Commission is expected to publish final results and seat allocation for parties and coalitions within four days of election day. The official list of elected members of parliament must then be released within seven days.

The vote marks the eighth parliamentary election held in Bulgaria since 2021, highlighting continued political instability and repeated electoral cycles in recent years.
