Ukraine Asks Turkey To Arrange Zelensky-Putin Meeting With Erdogan And Trump


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said this in an interview with Ukrinform following his participation in the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

"We have asked Turkey to consider the possibility of organizing a meeting at the level of President Zelensky and Putin, with the possible participation of Presidents Erdogan and Trump. We are ready for such a meeting. The only issue is that Putin is currently hiding. The Ukrainian president is ready for such a meeting. We want to end this war," Sybiha said.

According to the minister, Ukraine has concrete proposals for a peaceful settlement and is counting on Turkey's support.

"We hope for Turkey's role, which can help accelerate the peace process," he said.

Sybiha also highlighted the achievements of Turkish diplomacy and its ability to deliver results.

"I worked here as ambassador. I know how Turkish diplomacy operates, both formally and behind the scenes. It is highly effective. This potential should be taken into account and utilized, as Turkey is also interested in ending Russian aggression," he added.

As reported, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum that Turkey is ready to support efforts to continue direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, including at the level of national leaders.
