Ukrenergo: Power Outages Reported In Five Regions Due To Enemy Attacks

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.

"The enemy continues to carry out attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities. As a result of drone strikes and artillery shelling, there are new power outages as of this morning in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever safety conditions allow," the statement reads.

Due to persistently cold weather across all regions of Ukraine, electricity consumption as of 7:00 a.m. on Thursday is 4.9% higher than the previous day. Additionally, cloudy weather across most regions is reducing the efficiency of residential solar power plants.

As a result of previous attacks on the power grid, on April 9, power restriction schedules for industry will be in effect in all regions from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., hourly blackout schedules will apply to all categories of users.

"Given the weather conditions, there is a need for energy saving throughout the day in all regions. Please limit the use of electrical appliances as much as possible during the evening hours from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Do not turn on several high-power appliances at the same time during this period," Ukrenergo emphasizes.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund is now ready to reallocate more than 195 million euros to address the most urgent winter preparation needs.
