Profile Articles Activity

I am a Research Team Leader at the Florence School of Regulation of the European University Institute, where I lead the Molecules and Materials research team and direct postgraduate and executive courses on energy markets, gas regulation, and industrial decarbonisation. I hold a PhD in Process Systems Engineering from Imperial College London, with research on European gas storage coordination and energy security, funded by Snam, and an MSc in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. My work sits at the intersection of energy economics, regulation, and infrastructure, with a focus on gas markets, renewable and low-carbon gases, energy security, and critical raw material supply chains. I have held academic positions at the Chaire Économie du Climat, Bocconi University, and the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, and advisory roles with industry and public institutions. My research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Applied Energy and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and I regularly contribute to policy debates and expert forums on European energy and climate policy.
