Air India, Indigo Issue April 2 Advisory: UAE Flights Resume, Dubaiabu Dhabi Routes Partially Operational

(MENAFN- Live Mint) Airlines in India have issued fresh travel advisories for 2 April 2026, outlining partial operations and flexible passenger policies as instability across the Middle East continues to disrupt flight schedules. Air India and IndiGo confirmed that while several routes remain operational-particularly those linked to the United Arab Emirates and key Gulf hubs-travellers should expect dynamic changes and monitor updates closely.

Air India to Operate Limited West Asia Flights, Including UAE Routes

Air India and its low-cost arm Air India Express said they would jointly operate 34 flights-both scheduled and non-scheduled-connecting India with West Asia on Thursday.

“Air India and Air India Express will together operate 34 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, to and from the West Asia region on 02 April 2026.”

A significant portion of these includes UAE-bound services.

“This includes 18 non-scheduled flights to and from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), subject to availability of slots and other prevailing conditions at the departure stations at the time.”

The airline noted that these operations are being conducted with necessary regulatory approvals.

“These flights are being operated with the requisite permissions from the relevant Indian and local regulatory authorities in the UAE.”

Key destinations such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi are among those seeing partial restoration of connectivity, while operations to cities like Jeddah and Riyadh remain contingent on evolving conditions.

Air India's Global Routes Unaffected, Long-Haul Flights Continue as Scheduled

Despite disruptions in West Asia, Air India clarified that its long-haul network remains stable.

“All Air India flights to and from North America, Europe, Australia and other regions continue to operate per schedule.”

This assurance is likely to ease concerns among international travellers, particularly those transiting through Indian hubs for destinations beyond the Gulf.

Flexible Rebooking and Refund Options for Affected Air India Passengers

Passengers impacted by cancellations or temporary suspensions have been offered flexibility.

“Guests booked to travel on any of the routes where Air India group's scheduled services remain temporarily suspended may conveniently rebook to a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund.”
