CCQ Researchers Attend Future Of Education Conference At Oxford

Doha, Qatar: In a new academic achievement that highlights the growing global presence of Qatari research, the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) took part in the World Conference on Future of Education, hosted by the University of Oxford at the Saïd Business School.

The College contributed through a distinguished research paper presented by teaching associates Abdulrahman Al-Naimi and Aisha Al-Kubaisi, titled“Hybrid and Traditional Teaching in Higher Education: Lecturers' Perspectives from a Qatari Institution.” The paper successfully passed a rigorous peer review process, earning both researchers a place among the official speakers at this international conference and strengthening the college's presence in leading academic forums.

The paper examines Qatar's experience in adopting and developing hybrid learning models. It offers an analytical perspective on how higher education institutions align traditional teaching methods with modern technologies, adding meaningful insight to global discussions on the future of this vital sector amid rapid transformation.

Commenting on the participation, researcher Abdulrahman Al-Naimi described the conference as“a valuable platform to present Qatar's experience to the international academic community.”

He expressed pride in showcasing the real transformation taking place in Qatar's higher education sector at the University of Oxford.

Researcher Aisha Al-Kubaisi explained that this participation reflects the growing academic presence of Community College researchers on the international stage. She emphasized its role in strengthening knowledge exchange with peers from around the world and enriching the local research landscape.

On this occasion, Dean of the Management Science Division Dr. Jathnan Al Hajri praised this international participation and affirmed that it reflects the competence of the college's academic staff and their ability to represent Qatari research at leading global universities. He stressed that supporting scientific research and developing academic talent remain central priorities in the college's strategic agenda.

In the same context, Head of the Management Department Dr. Menahi Al-Qahtani expressed his pride in this achievement.

He noted that reaching a global research platform such as the University of Oxford demonstrates the high academic standards achieved by the college's faculty members. He also commended their contributions to advancing research and expanding knowledge in the field of hybrid learning.
