Shabnam Salehi
- PhD Candidate, Law, Carleton University Fellow, Human Education and Research Centre, L'Université d'Ottawa/University of Ottawa
a Ph.D. student in law and legal studies at Carleton University. Her research focuses on international accountability mechanisms, especially in the Global South, using critical theories. She holds an LLB and a master's degree in public policy from Kabul University, where she was an assistant professor from 2012 to 2021. She served as Women's Rights Commissioner at the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (2019–2021) and is currently involved in SSHRC-funded projects, including UnborderED, which promotes inclusive education and scholarship for displaced communities.
