Israeli Strikes Kill Palestinians in Gaza

(MENAFN) Two Palestinians lost their lives early Monday following an Israeli drone strike in Gaza City, marking the latest breach of the ceasefire by Israel, medical sources reported to a news agency.

The assault targeted a group of Palestinians near Asqoula junction in the Zeitoun neighborhood, located in the southern part of the city, according to local observers and eyewitnesses.

Medical personnel at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital informed the news agency that a third Palestinian was critically wounded in the strike.

Eyewitness accounts also indicated that the Israeli military demolished structures and facilities east of the so-called “yellow line” in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, situated east of Gaza City.

In addition, Israeli artillery bombarded areas east of Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis in central and southern Gaza.

This latest attack brings the total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli operations across Gaza since early Sunday to 11.

Earlier on Sunday, eight Palestinians died in two separate Israeli strikes targeting gatherings of civilians in the Bir 19 area within al-Mawasi district, west of Khan Younis, according to medical sources.

Subsequently, another Palestinian was killed by Israeli army gunfire near Bani Suheila junction, located east of Khan Younis.

Israeli forces have carried out daily breaches of a ceasefire established on Oct. 10, resulting in 691 fatalities and 1,876 injuries as of March 18, according to data from the Palestine Health Ministry.
