Amman, March 30 (Petra) -- Rummana Camp in the Dana Biosphere Reserve is open to local and international visitors for the new tourism season, with a daily capacity of about 135 guests.
The camp houses about 30 fully equipped tourist tents, a traditional Bedouin tent, and public and sanitary facilities, said manager of the reserve, Raed Khawaldeh.
It also offers authentic local meals and guided tour services, catering to both overnight stays and day visits, with a capacity of 60 overnight guests and 75 day visitors.
Khawaldeh said the camp runs a range of eco-tourism activities, including guided hiking tours along designated trails led by specialized guides, amid calm spring conditions marked by greenery and blooming wildflowers.
The surrounding area features a rich biodiversity, with 833 recorded plant species, including several first scientifically documented in Dana, and is also home to the Kingdom's oldest natural stand of cypress trees, reinforcing the site's status as a unique environmental and scientific destination.
