Weather Today: IMD Issues Rain Alert For Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Snowfall In Kashmir - Check Full Forecast
Atmospheric scientist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava has described this fresh wet spell as a broader seasonal transition from winter to summer.
Srivastava told ANI that the current weather pattern is“a transitional phase between the winter-dominant Western Disturbances and the approaching easterly winds of the summer season.”
“Consequently, when these two atmospheric systems interact, conditions such as those we are currently witnessing tend to develop,” he added.

Delhi weather todayThe weather agency has issued a yellow alert and forecast very light to light rainfall in Delhi during the afternoon and evening, accompanied by gusty winds, on Monday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 31 and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively.
“The minimum temperature will be above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C), and the maximum temperature will be below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at most places over Delhi,” IMD said in a press release.
The national capital is expected to experience predominant surface wind speeds of 10 kmph during the morning hours, increasing to 15 kmph in the afternoon. The wind speed will gradually increase, becoming less than 25 kmph during the evening and night.

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to experience moderate rainfall/snowfall with isolated thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds on March 30 and April 3-4. The weather conditions are likely to remain the same in Uttarakhand on March 31. Isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds of 30-50 kmph are in the forecast for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan till March 31. The weather agency said the Kashmir valley will receive isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall on March 30. Isolated hailstorm activity is likely over Punjab, East Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand on March 30.
- Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on Monday till April 1, and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on March 30. The weather department has also predicted light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Assam and Meghalaya till April 2 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till March 31. West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, especially on March 31. The IMD has also forecast isolated light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha till April 2, and Chhattisgarh during the next 5 days.
