According to an EAIIA statement issued on Sunday, its President, Dr. Iyad Abu Haltam, who chaired the meeting, underlined continuation of "institutional" work to strengthen the association's role in serving the industrial sector and developing its programs to meet the members' needs and enhance "competitiveness" of industrial companies operating in the estate.
The East Amman Industrial Estate encompasses Marka, Uhud, Tariq, Abu Alanda, Ring Road, Nasr, and Basman districts, with a total of 1,800 small, medium, and large companies are currently operating across various industries, which employ over 30,000 workers, the majority of whom are Jordanian.
During the meeting, the EAIIA presented its key achievements for 2025 by implementing 45 diverse events, including specialized exhibitions, dialogue sessions, training programs, and collaborative activities with local and international organizations, all aimed at strengthening its role in supporting the industrial sector and developing the business environment.
The EAIIA Employment Support Unit achieved "significant" outcomes by securing 360 job opportunities in the industrial sector and ensuring job security for 182 beneficiaries.
The unit also trained 246 individuals in essential employment skills and provided services to several industrial companies, reflecting the effectiveness of its employment and vocational training programs.
Meanwhile, EAIIA's Vocational Institute continued to graduate qualified professionals in diverse vocational fields, as part of the association's efforts to enhance technical training and align its outcomes with labor market needs.
The EAIIA, according to its plan for the coming years, seeks to implement a package of programs and projects, mainly the 6th Jordanian Packaging and Packaging Exhibition (JOBEX 2026), organize economic discussions, update the e-directory, and expand ad hoc training programs.
The plan also aims to strengthen social responsibility, conduct field visits for members, and build strategic partnerships with relevant entities to expand scope of services and enhance the association's impact on the industrial sector.
