Ongoing US-Israel Strikes Trigger Explosions Across Tehran

(MENAFN) Multiple explosions were reported in Iran’s capital on Sunday as joint US-Israel military actions continued, according to various reports.

Reports indicated that blasts were heard across different areas of Tehran, signaling another wave of attacks targeting the city.

The overnight strikes were not limited to the capital. Other major locations, including Isfahan, Tabriz, and Qom, were also hit, as stated by reports from Iran-based outlets.

The situation comes amid a broader escalation that has persisted since late February, when Israel and the United States initiated a large-scale offensive against Iran. Since then, more than 1,300 people have been killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader at the time, Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has carried out retaliatory operations involving drones and missiles directed at multiple countries, including Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf states hosting US military bases. These strikes have resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and widespread disruption affecting global markets and air travel.
