US-Israeli Strike Damages Pier at Methanol Facility in Iran

(MENAFN) An industrial methanol plant located in Dayyer port, within Iran’s Bushehr province, was struck in a US-Israeli attack on Friday evening, as stated by reports on Saturday.

According to these accounts, two projectiles hit the pier of the Kaveh Petrochemical methanol complex in the Dayyer region, damaging the control room situated on the pier.

Early assessments suggested that the methanol production units themselves were not affected and that the primary operations of the complex remained uninterrupted.

No injuries were reported as a result of the assault, the reports added.

Since February 28, the US and Israel have carried out a series of airstrikes across Iran, resulting in over 1,340 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has launched drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as countries such as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military forces, causing both casualties and damage to infrastructure while affecting global markets and aviation.
