In a separate message shared on his social media accounts, Sheikh Mohamed also extended his greetings:<\/p>
\u201cI extend my warmest congratulations to my brothers, the rulers of the Emirates; our family in the UAE; and Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. We remain confident that our region will overcome its current challenges and that the UAE, through its strength, resilience, and the loyalty and unity of its people, will continue to advance towards a peaceful and prosperous future.\u201d<\/p>
President speaks to the injured<\/strong><\/h3>
Similarly, during an earlier occasion, the President spoke during a visit to wounded patients<\/a> at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. He underscored the nation\u2019s stability.<\/p>
\u201cWe are in a period of war,\u201d he said. \u201cThe UAE is well.\u201d<\/p>
He praised Emirati citizens and the armed forces for their steadfastness. \u201cThe UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh,\u201d he added, using an Arabic metaphor to convey the country\u2019s resilience. \u201cI promise everyone that we will emerge stronger.\u201d<\/p>
During his visit, Sheikh Mohamed checked on patients injured in recent attacks, spoke with their families, and commended medical teams for their dedicated care. He also emphasised the inclusive nature of the nation, highlighting the vital role of expatriates.<\/p>
\u201cResidents in the UAE are our guests and part of our family,\u201d he said, in reference to nearly 10 million foreign nationals who live and work in the country.<\/p>
His message during Covid<\/strong><\/h3>
This message echoes a similar one shared by the President on 24 April 2020 during Ramadan, in the extraordinary years of Covid.<\/p>
