Seminar Presents Opportunities In Tourism


(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – Business opportunities in tourism will be presented at a seminar that the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC ) will hold this Friday (20) at its headquarters in São Paulo, with sector authorities. At the event, Minister of Tourism Gustavo Feliciano (União Brasil) will sign a memorandum of understanding with the president of the ABCC, William Adib Dib Jr. The document establishes cooperation between the two institutions to promote Brazil as a tourist destination and attract investment from Arab countries.

The seminar“Tourism and International Business: Brazil–Arab Countries Relations” is part of the ABCC Connects event series. It will feature presentations and panels with industry experts focused on opportunities in Islamic, or halal, tourism-tailored to meet the needs of Muslim travelers. This market is growing at around 12% per year, according to the State of Islamic Finance Report 2024/2025. By 2028, the report indicates, halal tourism is expected to reach USD 384 billion.

Presentations will be delivered by Dib and Feliciano. A video on the topic recorded by UN Tourism Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nuwais, from the United Arab Emirates, is also expected to be shown.

After the presentations, the seminar will feature two panels: the first will address investment, innovation, and capital flows in the sector. It will include National Secretary for Tourism Infrastructure, Credit and Investment (Sninfra) Carlos Henrique Menezes Sobral and Head of the Multinational and MENA Desk at Banco ABC, Fernando Masuela.

The panel“Global air bridges: Logistics connectivity and the flow of investments between Brazil and the Arab world” will feature the representative of the Moroccan tourism office in Brazil, Mohamed Amine Eljoudani, and the Regional Director for South America at Royal Air Maroc, Othman Baba. Participation in this panel is also expected from São Paulo State Secretary for Tourism and Travel, Roberto de Lucena, and the CEO of High Class Travel Experiences, Larissa Graciella Wilson.
