Blasts Heard Over Jerusalem After Israel Detects Iran Missile Launch - AFP

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - A series of explosions were heard in Jerusalem early Wednesday after Israel's military said it had identified another round of missiles launched from Iran.

AFP reporters in the city heard multiple explosions and saw bright flashes in the sky, moments after the army said its air defence systems were "operating to intercept the threat" from the latest Iranian barrage.

Air raid warnings rang out across multiple parts of Jerusalem, as the military's Home Front Command ordered residents into shelters.

On Monday, Israeli police said they had they found missile and interceptor fragments at holy sites in Jerusalem's Old City, including areas near the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
