Major U.S. Stock Indexes Rise For Second Consecutive Day

New York, March 17 (Petra) -- Major U.S. stock indexes rose on Tuesday for the second day in a row.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 46 points to reach 46,993, while the technology-focused Nasdaq rose 105 points to 22,479.
The Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P 500) increased by about 16 points to 6,716.
Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose by more than two dollars, reaching $96.18 per barrel.
