Senior hardware executive Caitlin Kalinowski has resigned from OpenAI, citing ethical concerns over the company's agreement to provide artificial intelligence capabilities to the United States Department of Defense, a move that has triggered debate within the technology sector about the role of AI in military and surveillance systems.
