Qatarenergy Issues Force Majeure Notice To LNG Buyers
Doha, Qatar: Further to the announcement by QatarEnergy to stop production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and associated products, QatarEnergy has declared Force Majeure to its affected buyers.

Force majeure refers to unforeseen events beyond a party's control that prevent contractual obligations. Qatar Energy had to stop production of LNG and downstream products including urea, polymers, methanol, aluminum and more following Iranian attack on its facilities in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed Industrial City on March 2, 2026.
