US Fighter Jets Shot Down Over Gulf Iran Says No Talks

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Dubai – Several US warplanes crashed on Monday in Kuwait, the country's defence ministry said.

The ministry did not elaborate on what caused the crashes, but they came during an intense period of Iranian fire targeting the US military bases in the country.

The Kuwaiti Defence Ministry said the pilots of at least one jet ejected safely and had been taken to a hospital for checkups.

The US military's Central Command did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Earlier, footage of a US F-15 Eagle fighter jet crash had circulated on social media.

The dramatic footage shows an F-15 aircraft engulfed in flames and trailing thick black smoke as it fell from the sky.

The incident was captured on video and quickly spread online.

Fire and smoke rose from inside the US Embassy compound in Kuwait after an Iranian attack on Monday. Video obtained by The Associated Press showed the smoke with an alarm wailing.

The United States had earlier issued an urgent warning to Americans there to take cover and remain indoors. It said,“Do not come to the Embassy,” without elaborating.

Earlier, at least three US service members were killed on Sunday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed in a statement, and five others were“seriously wounded”.

In another development the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, has refuted media reports in the United States claiming he had made a new push to resume nuclear talks with Washington, as Israel and the US have continued attacks on Tehran.

“We will not negotiate with the United States,” he wrote in a post on X on Monday.

Larijani said Trump had plunged the Middle East into chaos with his“delusional fantasies and now fears more American casualties”.

“He turned his self-made 'America First' slogan into 'Israel First' and sacrificed American soldiers for Israel's power-hungry ambitions,” Larijani said.

It is American soldiers and their families who will pay the cost, he said, adding that Iran will continue to defend itself.
