Gandhi Hospital in Northern Tehran Gets Hit by US-Israeli Airstrikes

(MENAFN) US-Israeli airstrikes strike Gandhi Hospital in northern Tehran on Sunday, causing visible damage to the building, as stated by reports. Footage broadcast on Iranian state television shows broken windows and damage to sections of the hospital’s facade.

In response to the attack, heightened security measures are implemented around the hospital while medical teams conduct thorough inspections inside. The footage also shows nurses evacuating newborns and attempting to move them to a safer location.

Earlier, the Iranian Red Crescent Society released images indicating that its headquarters, along with several hospitals, were targeted during the strikes.

The attacks follow a US and Israeli operation on Saturday that killed several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliates with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, US assets, and multiple Gulf countries. A similar US-Israeli strike last June triggered a 12-day conflict before a ceasefire was reached.
