Aspire Zone Foundation organized the Family Fun Run in partnership with the Qatar Sports for All Federation, as part of the 12th edition of the Ramadan Sports Festival 2026, hosted at Aspire Park amid vibrant Ramadan-inspired community spirit.
The race was held from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, drawing wide participation from various segments of the community in a sporting atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the holy month and emphasized the importance of physical activity as a lifestyle.
The competitions were divided into 1 km and 3 km categories in a free event open to all through registration via the QSFA application. The races witnessed strong performances and sportsmanship before concluding with the awards ceremony for winners across different categories.
In the Men’s 3 km race (18+), Zakaria Graham secured first place, followed by Faisal Yousuf in second, and Nayef Al Shammari in third. In the Women’s 3 km race (18+), Ajiol Khabibulina claimed first place, Rancy Iyaga finished second, and Zain Othman came third.
In the Boys’ race (13+), Arjan Rakesh won first place, followed by Yousef Jamal in second and Nasser Al Khaja in third.
The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Idris Mohammed Al Shershni, Events Manager, Ms. Ghada Al Obaid, Community Engagement Specialist at Aspire Zone Foundation, and Mr. Awad AlShammari , event coordinator at Qatar Sports for All Federation reflecting strong organizational coordination and administrative support for the accompanying activities.
The Ramadan Sports Festival continues to reinforce its position as one of the state’s leading community events, combining sport and entertainment in a Ramadan atmosphere that promotes participation and social cohesion.
Beach volleyball competitions kick off today at 9:00 PM on the sand court at Aspire Academy and will conclude on February 28.
Conclusion of Women’s 3x3 Basketball Tournament
The Women’s 3x3 Basketball Tournament, held at the Ladies Sports Hall on February 24–25, concluded with Team Al Gharafa 1 claiming first place, while Team Al Mohariboon finished second. Eman Jalali of Al Gharafa was awarded Best Player of the Tournament.
Both teams advanced to the final after Al Mohariboon defeated Al Wahda Third 17–9 in the semifinals, while Al Gharafa secured a dominant 16–2 victory over Al Ghorban A. In the final, Al Gharafa 1 triumphed over Al Mohariboon 21–12.
The awards ceremony was attended by Ms. Amina Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Marketing at Aspire Zone Foundation; Ms. Fatima Al Kharaz, Head of Marketing; and Ms. Zeina Jaber, Head of Visitor Relations.
Embassy Football Tournament Delivers Exciting Results
Excitement and competitiveness continued in the Embassies Football Tournament, held at Pitch No. (4) from February 22 to March 6, with 24 teams representing various embassies and communities divided into eight groups of three teams each. The top two teams from each group advance to the Round of 16.
Group 1 includes South America, Tanzania, and Senegal; Group 2 features South Africa, Spain, and Oman; Group 3 includes Chad, Jordan, and Mali; Group 4 consists of Finland, Algeria, and India; Group 5 includes Syria, Ghana, and Thailand; Group 6 features Togo, Russia, and Iraq; Group 7 includes Sudan, Eritrea, and Somalia; while Group 8 consists of Iran, Egypt, and Malaysia.
On the fourth matchday, Oman defeated South Africa 6–1 (Group 2), Chad edged Mali 6–5 (Group 3), and India secured a commanding 12–3 victory over Finland (Group 4).
Sixth Matchday Fixtures
The sixth day of competition will feature three matches:
•9:00 PM: Iran vs. Malaysia (Group 8)
•10:00 PM: Tanzania vs. Senegal (Group 1)
•11:00 PM: Oman vs. Spain (Group 2)
The preliminary round will continue until March 1, followed by the Round of 16 on March 2–3, quarterfinals on March 4, semifinals on March 5, and the final on March 6 in a highly anticipated Ramadan night showdown.

In the Aspire Sponsors Football Championship 2025, held from February 25 to March 5 at Pitch No. 5, opening-day results saw Al Waha defeat Ashghal 3–0 to top Group A with three points. Meanwhile, Ashghal 1 secured a 7–2 victory over Qatar Primary Materials Company to lead Group B with three points.
The tournament features six teams divided into two groups:
Group A – Al Waha, Ashghal, and Hattrick Academy.
Group B – Ashghal 1, Qatar Primary Materials Company, and Expert Event.
Matchday Two will see Al Waha face Hattrick Academy at 9:30 PM, followed by Ashghal 1 vs. Expert Event at 10:30 PM.
