Iran Confirms Death Of Shamkhani, IRGC Commander, Chief Of Staff, Defense Minister

TEHRAN, March 1 (KUNA) -- Iran confirmed on Sunday the killing of several senior military leaders, including the Supreme Leader's representative and Secretary of the Supreme National Defense Council, Ali Shamkhani, following an attack by the Israeli occupation and the United States.
Official Iranian media reported that Shamkhani, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Pakpour, Chief of Staff Major General Abdulrahim Mousavi, and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh were killed on Saturday in the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation and the United States.
It is worth noting that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, along with his daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and the wife of one of his sons, were killed on Saturday in an airstrike by the Israeli occupation and the United States on the capital, Tehran. (end)
