Ukraine To Import U.S. LNG Via Klaipeda Terminal For First Time
“As part of our partnership with the Lithuanian state-owned energy holding Ignitis Group Group, we secured the supply of 90 million cubic meters of LNG from the United States. Naftogaz will independently deliver the gas to Ukraine during February–March,” Koretskyi wrote.
He emphasized that diversifying supply routes is essential to ensure reliability and uninterrupted gas deliveries to consumers, particularly amid ongoing Russian attacks on gas and energy infrastructure.

Earlier this month, Naftogaz also began importing LNG through a terminal in Germany. The contracted U.S. LNG is delivered via the Deutsche ReGas terminal in the Baltic Sea and then transported to Ukraine through Poland's gas transmission system.
