Indiaai Mission, Business Sweden Sign Pact For AI & Digital Tech
The agreement seeks to promote trade, investment and structured collaboration between India and Sweden in emerging technology domains.
The SoI establishes a framework for joint work on the development, application and deployment of AI solutions, with a focus on real-world industrial and societal use cases.
The initiative builds on the existing strategic partnership between the two countries and reflects shared priorities around innovation-led growth, responsible AI adoption and sustainable digital transformation.
As part of the agreement, both sides will jointly develop the Sweden–India Technology and Artificial Intelligence Corridor (SITAC).
The corridor is envisaged as a flagship platform to facilitate structured engagement among government bodies, industry stakeholders, startups and academic institutions from the two countries.
Under SITAC, proposed activities include the organisation of conferences, seminars and thematic workshops; facilitation of exchanges between AI ecosystems; field visits to innovation hubs; stakeholder engagements involving companies, investors, researchers and policymakers; identification of joint innovation platforms and investment opportunities; and promotion of bilateral deployment of AI solutions in priority sectors.
According to officials, the collaboration aligns the IndiaAI Mission's objective of building a comprehensive national AI ecosystem through improved access to compute infrastructure, datasets and skilled talent with Sweden's strengths in industrial innovation, research and responsible AI implementation.
The partnership is expected to support enterprises, startups and research institutions in developing scalable and inclusive AI applications while deepening economic and technological ties between the two countries.
