Rental prices for farm stays across the UAE have surged sharply ahead of the Eid Al Fitr holidays, with daily rates jumping from around Dh2,000 to Dh3,000 to more than Dh5,500 a night as demand for nature getaways rises.

Operators and farm managers have said that farm stays and private countryside villas are already fully booked for the long weekend, with families choosing outdoor gatherings.

Ahmed Saleh, an engineer and Nad Al Hamar resident, said that he began searching for a farm stay in Ras Al Khaimah nearly three weeks ago for an Eid gathering with relatives and friends.

“We are four families planning to celebrate together. Earlier, we used to find good farm stays for around Dh2,500 per night, but this time, most places were either fully booked or asking more than Dh5,000.”

Saleh said the idea was to spend quality time together away from the city.“We wanted an outdoor place where children can run around, adults can do barbecue, and everyone can stay overnight instead of driving back late at night.”

Mariam, a resident of Al Nahda in Sharjah said her family postponed their farm stay plans after seeing the prices.

“We checked properties in Hatta and Fujairah, but almost everything was booked. The few available options were very expensive. Some owners were asking Dh6,000 to Dh6,500 for just one night.”

Khan said farm stays have become popular because families now prefer peaceful celebrations.“During Eid, malls are crowded. At a farm stay, we can cook together, play games, sit around a bonfire and let children enjoy outdoor activities.”

Farm stay owners confirm the surge in demand. Saeed Kazim, who manages a farm in Hatta, said bookings for Eid were completed weeks in advance.

“We are fully booked for all Eid days. Most bookings are from large family groups or friends travelling together. Many guests specifically request barbecue areas, swimming pools, outdoor seating and spaces for overnight gatherings.”

He added that some customers even asked for special arrangements such as projector screens for movie nights, extra tents for children, and extended late check-outs.

Muzammil, another operator in Ras Al Khaimah, said that demand this year has been higher compared to previous Eid holidays.

“People are booking earlier than before. We started receiving enquiries almost a month in advance. Families want privacy and nature instead of busy hotels.”

According to operators, pleasant March weather has played a major role in the surge, making outdoor celebrations comfortable both during the day and night.
