Dubai, UAE, 12 February 2026 - Innovo, an industry leader in construction and innovation in UAE, secured five prestigious industry awards at the 16th Big Project Awards Middle East, receiving Large Contractor of the Year; Woman of the Year for Mariam Azmy, Chief People Officer, Innovo; MEP Contractor of the Year; Leisure, Retail & Hospitality Project of the Year; and Infrastructure & Transport Project of the Year.
The Big Project Awards Middle East is an annual industry programme celebrating outstanding achievements in the built environment and recognising excellence in construction, development and sustainability. The recognition reflects Innovo’s project delivery performance and its commitment to building a progressive, people-led construction culture aligned with regional sustainability priorities.
Innovo’s Large Contractor of the Year win reflects its consistent delivery of complex, large-scale projects supported by integrated engineering, transformative innovation, and sustainability-led execution. Across its portfolio, the company has embedded Building Information Modelling (BIM), advanced MEP integration, and energy-efficient systems to improve coordination, reduce waste, and strengthen long-term asset performance. The win also recognises the company’s unwavering commitment to its people, from advancing diversity and inclusion to prioritising employee wellbeing, workforce standards, and progressive labour welfare practices that set new benchmarks for the industry.
Bishoy Azmy, CEO, Innovo, said: “These awards reflect the breadth of our delivery in the UAE, across complex projects. The recognition is the result of disciplined execution, technical capability, the use of transformative innovation, and the collaboration of our teams and partners. We remain focused on measurable performance, sustainable execution, and innovation that strengthens long-term value.”
Innovo’s Zayed National Museum water feature project was awarded in the Leisure, Retail & Hospitality category. The scheme includes a 23,000sqm canal, underground tunnel, bridges, and an integrated fountain system, demonstrating complex coordination across structural and hydraulic engineering disciplines, including precision sequencing and integrated systems management across multiple specialist trades.
In the Infrastructure & Transport Project of the Year category, Innovo was recognised for upgrading the critical road network between Al Faya, Razeen, and Al Qua’a in Abu Dhabi. The project incorporates 2,239 solar-powered streetlights across 124km, forming the world’s longest continuous solar streetlighting system and supporting regional sustainability objectives and reducing long-term operational energy demand across the corridor. This builds on Innovo’s recognition as Sustainable Contractor of the Year at the 2024 Big Project Awards Middle East.
MEP Contractor of the Year is awarded to the region’s most professional, efficient, and respected organisations in terms of mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Innovo’s win in this category illustrates the company’s integrated One Innovo delivery model, integrating safety, extra-low voltage (ELV), information and communications technology (ICT), and smart building automation systems that enhance energy performance, operational efficiency, and lifecycle resilience.
